Late last month, I flew down to LA to interview the creator and owner of LORAC Cosmetics, Carol Shaw for our show Yeah! That Look! on FAWN. The interview took place really early in the morning at Sephora at Hollywood and Highland. So early that we had the store all to ourselves as it wasn’t even open to the public yet. Of course, I took full advantage of this opportunity to browse through the store while the crew was setting everything up.
I’m really not a big coffee-drinker but it’s hard to turn down caffeine when you’re working very early in the morning and are running on little sleep. Besides, caramel frappuccinos are delicious!
Carol was a wonderful interview. We must have been talking for 45 minutes straight although you only got to see about five minutes worth of bits and pieces from our conversation. Ah, the magic of editing! When the interview was over, Carol told me she felt as though she was talking to an old friend. I have to say the feeling was mutual! What I really appreciated about Carol was that it was very obvious that she really cares about her clients and customers and really wants to provide them with great products that meet their needs.
